Frequently Asked Questions
About Andrade Works
-
Pieces are made in limited quantities rather than mass produced. Working in small batches gives me more control over material selection, fit, finish, and consistency. Some designs may return in future batches, while others may change or be discontinued.
-
Andrade Works pieces are designed and built in Massachusetts.
-
I work primarily with solid walnut and white oak. Boards are selected for grain, stability, and appearance, and each piece is finished by hand.
-
Frames are built from solid hardwood and finished by hand. They are assembled with archival matting, Tru Vue® acrylic glazing, rigid backing, and appropriate hanging hardware.
I approach them more like small pieces of furniture than disposable framing products, with the same attention paid to the wood, construction, and finish.
Frames & Fit
-
Available print sizes and frame dimensions are listed on each product page. Additional sizes may be introduced over time.
-
Frames use Tru Vue® acrylic glazing rather than glass. Acrylic is lighter and more resistant to breakage, which also makes it better suited for shipping. The glazing used for each frame is listed on the product page.
-
Yes. Frames are designed for photographs, art prints, and other works on paper. Each product page lists the intended print size and mat opening.
Ordering & Availability
-
It depends on the piece. Some products are kept in stock in small batches, while others may be made after an order is placed. Current availability will be listed on the product page.
-
Custom sizes and other projects are considered on a limited basis. If you have something specific in mind, send an enquiry with the size, quantity, and any other relevant details.
Shipping & Returns
-
Production and shipping times vary by product. Any current lead time will be listed on the product page. Tracking information will be provided once the order ships.
-
Due to the small-batch and made-to-order nature of the work, sales are final unless otherwise stated on the product page.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, please get in touch within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue.
Other Work
-
Yes. Frames are the current focus, but Andrade Works was not created to be only a frame shop. Other solid wood pieces will be introduced as they are developed.
